We recently held our first user conference in Birmingham on 11 March. The event brought together legal professionals from across the country for a day focused on collaboration, shared learning and the future direction of conveyancing.
The invite-only conference marked an important moment for Hoowla, creating the first opportunity for its user community to connect in person while exploring how technology, data and artificial intelligence are shaping modern legal practices.
Throughout the day, sessions centred on improving efficiency within firms, making better use of data to inform decisions and introducing practical approaches to adopting AI in day-to-day operations.
One of the key features of the conference was the presentation of anonymised data drawn from across the Hoowla’s conveyancing software. This gave attendees a clearer understanding of industry trends, performance comparisons and workflow efficiencies, alongside actionable suggestions for refining internal processes.
Reflecting on the insights shared, one attendee said:
“The benchmarking data really stood out—seeing where we sit and how small changes could make a difference was incredibly useful. It was a great example of knowledge sharing.”
Another commented:
“The case management session highlighted several areas where we can save time and free up capacity for more work.”
The conference also included a session from Louise Stephens-Pantoja of LPL, who shared her firm’s experience of growth and scaling within a modern conveyancing environment. Her talk emphasised the importance of strong processes, effective team structures and making the most of available technology to support long-term success.
Artificial intelligence was a consistent theme across the event. AI strategist Vincent Serpico led discussions on how firms can begin to integrate AI into their operations in a practical and responsible way, focusing on real use cases rather than theory.
One attendee reflected:
“It was a genuinely valuable event. The discussions around AI were particularly useful, with practical ideas we’re already planning to put into action.”
Adam Curtis, CEO of Hoowla, said:
“It was fantastic to see so many Hoowla users together in one place. The level of engagement and the conversations throughout the day really showed how valuable it is for firms to share ideas and experiences. There was a real focus on improving processes and learning from one another.”
As part of the event, Hoowla also shared a preview of its product roadmap, highlighting upcoming features shaped by user feedback and insights gathered from how firms are currently using the platform.
The conference was supported by Stewart Title, signalling the start of a partnership focused on developing innovative, technology-driven solutions for the conveyancing sector.
Feedback from attendees highlighted both the relevance of the content and the value of connecting with peers across the industry.
One participant noted:
“A really well-run event in a great venue. The sessions were engaging and relevant, and the day flowed well from start to finish.”
Following the success of its first conference, Hoowla is planning to expand its programme of user engagement, with further events and knowledge-sharing opportunities in development.
