Autumn Budget 2017: First Time Buyers Stamp Duty Changes Live on Hoowla

November 22, 2017EmmaNews, Thought & Industry Pieces

Hoowla SDLT First Time Buyers Stamp Duty Change

The headline point in today’s Autumn Budget 2017 was the announcement that stamp duty will be abolished, from today, for first-time buyers purchasing properties costing up to £300,000.

First time buyers purchasing a house worth up to £500,000 will not have to pay stamp duty on the first £300,000, which HM Treasury estimates will take 80% of first-time buyers out of stamp duty altogether.

Hoowla’s conveyancing calculator and SDLT integration have already updated to support the abolishment of SDLT for first time buyers in the 2017 Budget, meaning the 10,000+ quotes each month generated through Hoowla comply with the new first time buyers SDLT rate.

SDLT integrations within Hoowla’s case management software and API partners have also been updated.

Hoowla always responds fast to all changes that affects users, with the amendment to the conveyancing calculator and SDLT integrations going live as the Chancellor announced the stamp duty change.

If you want to have a conveyancing quote and referral tool that is always update or want to submit SDLT more efficiently call Hoowla on 01792 687 146 or email hello@hoowla.com for a demo.
